Crowns

When a tooth has too much decay, structural damage, or has had a root canal, a crown is needed to help strengthen the tooth and make it more functional. A crown mimics a healthy tooth and reinforces the tooth, protecting it from further damage. The majority of our crowns are made of a tooth colored material called Zirconia, which is very strong and beautiful.

While Zirconia has become the standard material for crowns due to its excellent properties, there are instances where a different clinical approach may yield better results. As we previously mentioned, our office is known for taking a highly individual approach to dentistry, with a tremendous emphasis placed on the cost/benefit of a procedure. Our Doctors will utilize either Gold, Pressable ceramics, Porcelain Fused to Metal Crowns (PFM) or other types of restorations in order to achieve the best possible results.
