Meet our Doctors

Amanda Cerqueira, DDS

Dr. Cerqueira has wanted to be a dentist since she was 8 years old. Her passion for dentistry came from her father who began practicing dentistry in 1968. She would spend her after-school and summer afternoons helping out at her father’s practice and dreaming of the day she would be a dentist herself.

That day finally came in May of 2003, when she graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill, where she was voted “Most Outstanding Dental Student” by her peers and professors. During her years at UNC, Dr. Cerqueira volunteered at the Murdock Center Dental Clinic for mentally challenged individuals. She was also invited to serve on the forensic dentistry identification team that covered a Charlotte, NC plane crash in 2003. She volunteered on the North Carolina Baptist Association Dental Bus for underserved individuals, and she was the first dental student to attend an international rotation in Florianopolis, Brazil.

Upon graduating from UNC, Dr. Cerqueira went back to her hometown to practice with her father. Dentistry in a small town was exciting, allowing her to perform a wide variety of procedures. The ocean and the town she loved so much, however, were too far away. With that in mind, Dr. Cerqueira decided to open her own practice in Carolina Beach. She has been overwhelmed by the warm reception given to her and her style of dentistry by the community. Her practice has grown tremendously thanks to her patients’ support and referrals.

Today, she continues to strive to make every single one of her patients feel special by getting to know them and giving them the highest level of service. She enjoys offering different alternatives and solutions in order to create beautiful, healthy smiles and happy patients.

“My favorite part of the day is the time I spend interacting with my patients. I enjoy getting to know them. My main goal is to solve their dental problems in the most conservative way while striving for the longest-lasting results. I believe in educating patients so they can make informed decisions regarding their care. I love teaching people how to maintain their smiles for life, and I will do everything in my power to give them the best possible dental care.”

When she is away from her patients, Dr. Cerqueira enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Daniel, two daughters and cute dog, Zico. She also loves mountain biking, Zumba, stand up paddleboarding, and attending Port City Community Church with her family.

Sarah Kinsley DMD

Having lived in Greenville NC since the age of 6, Dr. Kinsley is one of the few people that can say she actually went from first grade to a Doctorate degree in the same town’s educational system.

Dr. Kinsley loved living and growing up in Greenville, where her parents still reside.

Being someone who loves the beach, living a couple of hours from the coast was not ideal however.

Dr. Kinsley decided to relocate to the Wilmington area after obtaining her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from East Carolina University.

Dr. Kinsley started her tenure in the Port City by serving as Chief Resident at East Carolina School of Dental Medicine Community Service Learning Center in Brunswick County. While there, she had the opportunity to put into practice all the techniques she learned in Dental School. Dr. Kinsley had broad exposure to many aspects of Dentistry including fillings, cleanings, crowns, bridges, implants and surgery. Dr. Kinsley was also responsible for supervising many of the students and maintained a very busy schedule, improving the lives and smiles of many, many patients.

When it came time to enter private practice, Dr. Cerqueira found that Dr. Kinsley’s sweet personality and demeanor, along with an utmost commitment to excellence was a perfect match to our office. Dr. Kinsley has been a wonderful addition to our practice, where she continues to take care of patients as if they were family.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Kinsley loves spending time at the beach alongside her sweet Goldendoodle Murphy.
